In the heart of Brisbane’s young and vibrant Newstead district – a hub for boutiques, restaurants and bars – the Haven apartment building has all the design credentials of a boutique hotel and features key pieces of Tribù’s relaxed luxury outdoor furniture.
The top two floors of Haven, designed by Cottee Parker Architects, are called the Skydeck and provide panoramic views over the Brisbane River, Waterfront Park and central business district. The space combines semi-private dining, a yoga lawn and sunset bar with an infinity pool and sun deck.
MMO Interiors worked closely with outdoor furniture specialists Cosh Living to create an elegant, contemporary look across the two-floor Skydeck. In the barbecue area, the tall, slender gazebo, geometric planters and a minimalist marble table set the tone. Tribù’s Mood bar chairs in wengé contrast with the pale stone, while green velvet Nomad poufs pick up on the lush planting. More intimate spaces for coffee are created using Mood club chairs.
The pool terrace, from which residents can watch the yachts below on the Brisbane River, is furnished with natural teak Vis à Vis loungers that work perfectly with the wood decking and stone edging around the pool.
The Skydeck’s clever combination of low-key luxury pieces from Tribu, a pared-back palette and natural materials create the ideal setting to take in stunning views over Brisbane’s sweeping river.
